With 12 years experience, working as an English Language and Literature specialist, for several years as a Deputy team leader, a tutor and mentor and a coach in Secondary schools in the UK, I know important it is to be successful. 

I understand how necessary it is to support your child to achieve their potential. To exceed. 

Despite a teacher’s best attempts to support your child they may not have the capabilities to give your child the 1-2-1 guidance you want for them. Quite often, in schools all over the world, challenges of curriculum and exam outcomes results in teachers being spread too thinly across the school. 

That’s why it is important that children and parents, friends and family work together to identify and highlight the extra work, sessions or skills your child needs. But this is no easy feat. We’re not all trained and qualified teachers, who specialize in child development.

I have a track record of success as an English Teacher. 
In particular, my top set GCSE 14-16yr old students studying AQA Language and Literature have attained students (grade 8/9). My A level students achieved their targets at 100% with 2 student exceeding. Other than last year, I have secured in my students the capabilities to get 96% and 100% pass rates ensuring they have been able to get into college and pursue their dreams.
Specifically, my bottom set KS3 class (11-13yrs old) made good progress and gained confidence with their English skills. A specialized literacy book I produced supported with this and a reading scheme designed  to meet their learning difficulty needs.

I have helped hundreds of students achieve their goals, and even exceed them! In addition, I have held the position of GCSE coordinator and KS5 Deputy Team Leader - this means I have worked alongside exam boards, leadership, other departments and parents. I have been responsible for curriculum planning, training and marking. So I have ‘behind the scenes’ knowledge and know how to personally guide your child towards success,

Furthermore, I am approachable, conscientious and intuitive; I have experience of coaching and mentoring students at GCSE and A level. What’s more I have a validated understanding of ‘Child Development’ (course completed October 2018 with Utrecht University with a 100% pass rate*).

I will work alongside you to facilitate your child’s leaning and progress in a supportive and productive way, responding and listening to your concerns, needs and queries so that you feel a strong sense of autonomy and ownership over yours and your child’s achievements.
